Plasma Display Panel (PDP) is a promising
technology for HDTV. PDP has more advantages than Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) in the
aspect of large screen sizes over 40 inch and small thickness. However low
luminous efficiency, high power consumption, and life time are still the
research issues of the present PDP.
